How is the log cabin garage delivered?

Once your order is confirmed, we begin manufacturing your log cabin. Before delivery, we’ll contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date. The cabin will be delivered via a 26-ton HIAB vehicle, which will crane the cabin package off the truck and place it as close to your property as possible. If you anticipate any access issues at your delivery address, please inform us when placing your order. Please note that we cannot crane the cabin over obstacles like houses. The log cabin is delivered as a package—contact us if you need specific dimensions, or visit our delivery page for more information.

No, our log cabin garages do not come with a floor, as they are designed to sit directly on a solid base such as concrete or paving slabs. However, the bottom bearer on each wall is pressure treated to provide extra protection against moisture where the cabin meets the base. This helps ensure long-lasting durability and prevents rot over time.

Preventing water ingress starts with a well-prepared base and correct installation. Here are some key steps to keep your log cabin garage watertight and protected:

Create a solid, level base – The base should be completely flat and made from a solid material such as concrete or paving slabs. Avoid any dips where water could pool.

Build the base to the exact cabin size – We would advise that you ensure your base is the same size as the cabin footprint - not larger. This prevents rainwater from running down the walls and pooling underneath.

Keep the base slightly raised – Where possible, have the base sit slightly higher than the surrounding ground to help surface water drain away.

Add a damp-proof membrane (DPM) – Laying a DPM between the base and the bottom tanalised bearers provides extra protection against rising moisture.

Consider a plinth or small lip internally– Some customers like to include a small raised edge or plinth inside the perimeter of the building to further prevent water from seeping in under the walls.
